Beach Bowl Champions!

11-19-2011
It was appropriate after all the last-second
plays in the Pirates' season that their
final game would come down to the end, as
well. College of the Desert threw an
unsuccessful Hail Mary pass on the game's
final play as the Ventura College football
team came back from a halftime deficit to
defeat College of the Desert 17-16 in the
Beach Bowl sponsored by Joe Kapp Real
Estate at the VC Sportsplex Saturday night.
Defensive end
Daniel Miller was named the game's Most
Valuable Player with two sacks and an
interception for the Pirates.
