Pirate Swimmer Tennant WSC AoW

4/27/11   Swim   Steven Tennant has been named as the Western State Conference Male Athlete of the Week for the period of April 17-23.  Tennant, a freshman from Chaperal High School in Temecula, helped lead the VC men's swimming and diving team to its ninth consecutive Western State Conference title over the weekend.  He won the 100 yard backstroke (51.44) setting a new school record, and was third in both the 200 yard freestyle and 200 yard backstroke. Steven was also a member of three WSC champion relay teams.  He qualified for the state championships, coming up April 28-30 at East LA College, in three individual events along with three relays.
