Federal agencies involved
in trade assistance programs include the U.S. Department of Commerce,
International Trade Administration, the Bureau of Export Administration,
the Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the
U.S. Agency for International Development and the Small Business
Administration, including its specialized arm, the Export Small Business
Development Center.
Import regulations and
administration are governed by the U.S. Customs Service, which enforces
the laws and regulations of numerous other agencies listed above
regarding the entry of goods into the United States. The Federal
Aviation Administration and other agencies coordinate national
logistics, traffic and transportation. All of the above agencies
directly or indirectly manage and oversee the intergration of
