ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Eastman Kodak Company have announced the 2004 Junior College/Community College (JC/CC) Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team. Selection committee members in each of the nine WBCA geographical regions select the ten women's basketball players to be honored. Ventura's Courtney Young was among ten honorees selected from nominees throughout the country.  Young becomes the first Pirate to earn All-American honors.  However, Nicole Ellis was named honorable mention in 1994.

"We are once again proud to partner with Kodak to salute another class of talented young ladies," said WBCA CEO, Beth Bass. "This group represents the best in junior college basketball."

"Kodak is proud to partner with the WBCA in honoring the best women's collegiate players as Kodak/WBCA All-Americans," said Bud Denker, Director & VP of Brand & Market Development at Kodak. "Kodak recognizes the accomplishments of young athletes and the positive recognition they bring to their school by displaying their talents on the basketball floor."
