2007 Favorite Teachers

Gabe Arquilevich (English)

     I chose Mr. A—also known as Gabriel Arquilevich—for my favorite teacher because he made class fun and interesting and at the same time very challenging. During discussions in class he would always tell us a funny story that had to do with what we where talking about which made it a lot easier to pay attention. I came to Mr. A’s class not knowing how to write a very good essay. Nor did I like writing them. In his class that’s all we did. We wrote essay after essay after essay. He taught us the steps to writing a good essay. I guess the mark of a great teacher is in how much you enjoy showing others what you know. Mr. A is a great writer and teacher because he makes everyone feel comfortable in class. By the end of my English 1A class, I had learned the hang of the steps. Essay writing became easier. If you want to take an English 1A class and learn more about writing a good essay, I highly recommend Mr. A. Thank you Mr. A.
