sophomore
Lindsay
Trout
has
signed
a
national
letter
of
intent
to
continue
her
basketball
and
academic
careers
at
Cal
State
Monterey
Bay
next
season.
The
5'7"
guard
from
Camarillo
High
School
averaged
4.2
points
and
3.0
rebounds
per
game
last
season,
appearing
in
all
of
VC's
35
contests.
Trout
will
be
playing
for
first-year
head
coach
and
VC
alumnus
Renee
Jimenez
'01

Recognizes
Success
in
the
Classroom

ATLANTA
-
The
Women's
Basketball
Coaches
Association
(WBCA)
announced
its
winners
for
the
2007-08
Academic
Top
25
Team
Honor
Roll.
This
award
recognizes
teams
throughout
the
nation
that
carry
the
highest
grade
point
averages
(GPA)
for
the
entire
season
based
on
the
nominations
submitted
by
WBCA-member
head
coaches.
Ventura
College
placed
sixth
in
the
JC/CC
category
with
an
overall
grade
point
average
of
3.344.
They
are
the
top
of
three
California
teams
listed.
This
is
the
fifth
consecutive
year
the
Pirates
have
been
honored
by
the
WBCA
for
academic
success.
