As
time progresses, it is becoming increasingly
more and more difficult to come across
individuals who truly love and care about their
life’s work. I am fortunate enough to have been
taught by a man who exhibits a beaming passion
for what he does. Not only does he teach math
with exceptional clarity, but Professor Michael
Bowen also brings Math to life with jokes and an
approach of simplicity and understanding.
The
thought of having a night class—much less a Math
class—twice a week was not desirable until I
walked into Professor Bowen’s math class. I was
immediately drawn to his magnetic personality.
Professor Bowen has taken time outside of class
to check on my personal well-being and for that
he won’t soon be forgotten. Tonight, I thank
you, Professor Bowen, for making a positive
difference in my life.
