Lauri Moore
(Sociology)

Jenelle Conklin
Sociology Professor Lauri Moore is my favorite
teacher at Ventura College. Professor Moore was
one of the most influential teachers I have ever
had. She is the kind of teacher that
everyone likes but that everyone knows not to
make mad. I enjoyed taking sociology with her
because it broadened my outlook on life. She
helped me to see the social issues that we
face daily and how to overcome them. I will
always remember her way of intertwining
difficult subjects and making them easier for me
to understand. She has a gift for capturing my
attention and making even the dullest topics
sound interesting. I know that I am not
alone when I say that Professor Moore made me
want to learn “MOORE” about sociology.
I truly
enjoyed taking her class. Thank you very much
for being my teacher and teaching me in a fun
manner!
