When I first came to Ventura College I never imagined Psychology being a topic that I would ever like, let alone take.  Then registration day came around and I decided lets take something different, so I took Intro to Psychology with Mr. Mark Pauley. After sitting in his class for five minutes I knew that this was the class for me (the first sign was that I stayed awake) and ever since then I have taken many classes with Mr. Pauley.  He is an amazing teacher with a great teaching technique, and an even better sense of humor.  He is always willing to help and he is very understanding.  He is one of those teachers that loves what they are doing and you can tell with every minute that he is there, teaching you everything that you can possibly know about psychology and his view of life.

It is a little scary when you take his class because you begin to see things in other people that used to drive you crazy, with an understanding that seems to come from nowhere. You find yourself with a really funny, cutting remark rolling through you brain but you keep those words to yourself because you see a little deeper than the obnoxious behavior.

This new found kindness for people who I used to think were jerks, and some still do, comes from Mr. Pauley and his psych class.

Sometimes I am really grateful for these new eyes and other times I wish it would go away...but over all thanks Mr. Pauley
